How to save reels to watch later (and actually find them again)
To save a reel for later, tap the share button on the reel and send it to a bookmark app such as ReelSave, which keeps reels from Instagram, TikTok and YouTube in one library with a readable title, category and the key details, so you can search for it later instead of scrolling through a Saved folder.
Why the built-in Saved folder isn't enough
Instagram's Saved folder and TikTok's Favorites are fine for a handful of videos. Once you have hundreds, they turn into an endless grid of thumbnails: you can't search what was said in a video, each app keeps its own separate list, and the caption is often just hashtags.
Most people don't need to download the video. They need to remember why they saved it — the recipe, the place, the tip — and find it in a few seconds.
Save a reel in one tap with ReelSave
- 1.Install ReelSave on iPhone or Android and sign in.
- 2.On any reel, TikTok or Short, tap Share and choose ReelSave from the share sheet.
- 3.ReelSave saves the link and fills in a title, category and details such as ingredients or places.
- 4.Copied a link instead? Open ReelSave and it offers to save the link from your clipboard.
Find it again later
Search across titles, notes, tags and summaries, filter by type (recipes, travel, workouts, reviews), or open the map to see every place your saved videos mention.
You can also ask a question in plain words, like "which pasta recipe did I save?", and ReelSave answers from your own saves with the source video shown.
Questions
- Does saving a reel to another app notify the creator?
- Sharing a link to another app is not the same as Instagram's own Save button, and ReelSave doesn't post or comment anything. The original creator's video stays on their account; ReelSave only keeps the link.
- Can I save reels without downloading them?
- Yes. ReelSave never downloads the video file. It stores the link and the details, and opens the original video when you want to watch it.
